JCW's Corporate Social Responsibilities
Look what we have achieved in a year!
Our contribution towards the sustainability of our Community, Staff, Clients, Supply Chain and Environment.
JCW Energy Services is committed to investing in a sustainable future for its employees, community at large, its suppliers and the environment. Our working activities may directly or indirectly contribute to change in our local communities or global environment and we are conscious this change should be for the better. It is within our Code of Conduct that we invest in our staff, our customers, as well as our supply chain to better the wider community and environment. Below are just some of what we have done in the past year...
To Employee
The personal development of our employees is very important to us both professionally and outside of work. That’s why JCW support the development of the skills of our staff by endorsing their training both in and out of house. Read about our personal development and apprenticeship success stories here.
Outside of work we support the personal ventures of our staff including charity challenges, see what funds we have raised with them in the past here. When possible, we seek to host events at or away from work premises with the aim to better personal skills and staff morale, read about our day of life saving training courtesy of our Estimator Scott.
To Customers
JCW recognise the importance of quality in our services, that’s why our relationship with our customers are paramount for continued improvement of the services which we provide, see our Building Lasting Relationships ebook here.
We support the local communities of our clients’ as much as possible, like joining in on their charitable ventures via ways of fund raising or offering labour. This, we believe not only strengthens our relationship with them, but serves as an opportunity to give back to the wider community. See our works for the Blackpool Carer Centre of whom our client Beaverbrook’s is a trustee.
To Supply chain
Our procurement policy focuses on equality and sustainability as well as the vetting of forced labour and modern day slavery within our supply chain, we achieve this by strengthening our relationship with our suppliers and conducting regular review meetings as well as getting involved in joint ventures when possible.
JCW regularly work on joint venture projects along with our suppliers, such as The Ship project in Plymouth, in which Mitsubishi Electric provided us with innovative support.
Our joint ventures aren't always work related having also had the opportunity to help raise money for charity, see our MD Kurt’s 555k cycle for Save the Children.
To Community
A thriving local community is key to our success and as JCW operates nationally, we encourage the participation of our staff in opportunities to improve our communities where ever possible. For instance, we encouraged our employees to organise teams of rowers for our Family Away Day at St Noets’ Community Festival in support of the Carers Trust Cambridgeshire. See how our team did by reading our blog.
To Environment
As well as the environment goals we set ourselves within the JCW Environmental Policy Statement, we also aim to continuously reduce our customers’ impact to climate change where possible by offering more energy efficient equipment and service options. We are able to offer these due to our close partnership status with our supply chain, from whom we also receive plenty of opportunities to improve our wider communities. See a prime example of this joint effort between Mitsubishi and ourselves to educate our youths in environmental impact awareness.
